2018 Call for Abstracts

CALL FOR Research ABSTRACTS - POSTER SESSION

Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association • Annual Meeting and Symposium

Columbus, OH • May 11-12, 2018

Deadline for Abstract Submissions: March 10, 2018

The Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association is soliciting abstracts of (1) research (2) clinical case reports (3) Critically Appraised Topics for the Free Communication Poster AND Platform Sessions at the Annual Meeting and Symposium.  The 2018 OATA Meeting will be at the Embassy Suites, Dublin Ohio, May 11-12. Athletic Trainers and Athletic Training Students are encouraged to submit proposals for the Poster sessions and the Platform sessions.  Online submission may be accessed at oata.org.   Please note that original research and case studies with pending results and conclusions WILL be considered.

Some abstracts may be selected as a platform presentation at the symposium.  Please consider allowing the research and grants subcommittee to review your abstract for consideration as a platform presentation by selecting PLATFORM or BOTH PLATFORM AND POSTER on the submission form.  

All accepted case study and original research abstracts will be published in The Journal of Sports Medicine and Allied Health Sciences!  Certificates of recognition will be awarded in each of the four different categories: Undergraduate Athletic Training Student (research and case report) and Professional (research and case report). Continuing education units (CEUs) will be awarded for each presented abstract. Primary author must register for the OATA Annual Meeting.

Acceptance notification will follow by the end of March.

The Ohio Atheltic Trainers' Association is moving to a new location on the campus of Ohio University. This new space will provide us with the opportunity to continue to expand in the years to come and provide a new and vibrant location.
